Luisa Matthynssens has been helping students of all ages and skill levels reach their piano goals since 2009. In 2013, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. During her undergraduate, she performed in master classes taught by world renowned pianists Ann Schein, Valery Kuleshov, Barry Snyder, and Jose Feghali. She performed as featured soloist at university concerts alongside UCO's artist in residence, Valery Kuleshov and in 2011 she was the state finalist in the MTNA Young Artist Competition.

After spending two years post-graduation teaching piano in Oklahoma City private schools, she moved to New York City in 2015. While in New York, Luisa taught group piano lessons as the Lead Piano Instructor at 82nd Street Academics, and maintained a private studio of beginner and advanced students. She also participated in ensembles at the New York Jazz Academy and took private lessons with local jazz musicians. In 2016 she moved back to Oklahoma City to open her own studio and pursue her Master's Degree in Collaborative Piano and Composition, which she will complete in Spring 2020.
