Imaginative Repertoire Vol. 2 takes students beyond the basics with music that feels richer, more expressive, and deeply rewarding to play. With 36 expressive solos, it balances accessibility with artistry — each piece fuels progress and sparks imagination, moving effortlessly from lesson to performance.

This volume introduces eighth notes and steadily develops hand coordination, while adding pedal for richer texture. Harmonies become more colorful, intervals expand to 6ths, and the V7 and IV chords are introduced. Students explore scales with etudes in C major, A minor, and G major, and the book closes by introducing the G Major key signature, chord inversions and simple syncopated rhythms.

Designed for students building confidence and fluency, Vol. 2 bridges the early elementary years and prepares players for the next stage. Its careful sequencing ensures steady progress while its variety keeps lessons fresh.

Pedagogical Information
Builds on all concepts introduced in Volume 1, with added focus on:

• Note Range: Mostly within the staff; limited use of up to two ledger lines

• Rhythm: Whole–quarter values and 8th notes (beamed in 2s & 4s)

• Largest Interval: 6th

• Harmony: Mostly root position chords. IV, V7, and vi chord inversions introduced.

• Key Signatures: C, Am, G
