The Essential Board for Every Music Teacher
The Sound Shapes Staff Board features a clean double-staff layout designed specifically for magnetic notation work and hands-on theory instruction.
Sized at 18 × 24 inches with 1-inch staff spacing, it works seamlessly with all Sound Shapes pieces and fits most music stands and piano racks. The reverse side provides a blank dry-erase surface for additional lesson flexibility.
Each board is individually prepared using high-contrast adhesive staff striping. This construction creates a durable, wipeable surface built to withstand repeated writing, erasing, and daily studio use. The board can be cleaned with a towel and glass cleaner as needed without compromising the staff lines.
A complete toolkit for rhythm fluency
The Rhythm Suite gives teachers a clear, hands-on way to model rhythmic values, subdivisions, and beamed groupings so students can understand rhythm structure quickly and accurately. With movable pieces for whole through sixteenth-note values, it’s designed for counting practice, subdivision work, rhythm dictation, drills, and interactive sequencing that replaces worksheets and makes rhythm easier to see, hear, and internalize. Perfect for piano lessons, group classes, and music classrooms, this set helps students build confident, fluent rhythm skills through physical learning.
Fits any staff board with 1-inch spaced lines.
A Comprehensive Set for Teaching Key Signatures
The Accidental Ensemble lets students build key signatures up to seven sharps or flats, apply accidentals in context, and understand how these symbols function within melodic and harmonic patterns.—perfect for music classrooms, group lessons, or one-on-one instruction.
Fits any staff board with 1-inch spaced lines.
get the complete studio system
The Complete Studio System is the full Sound Shapes experience, designed for teachers who want a comprehensive, hands-on notation system ready from day one. This is not a starter kit. It’s the complete toolkit for teaching rhythm literacy, pitch fluency, intervals, chords, accidentals, and clefs in a way that is hands-on and immediately engaging for students of any age. Instead of piecing together sets over time, you get the entire system in one cohesive collection — built to support everything from foundational reading to advanced concept reinforcement.
